Hello, brave adventurer!
Welcome to Linux Odyssey, an adventure filled with terminal magic!
Think of the terminal as your magic wand. You control the computer with **text spells**, a useful skill for any aspiring programmer!
The area below is your stage for casting spells: the terminal. Ready to cast your first one?
Enter `echo hello` below, then press Enter to see what happens!
- id: echo-hello
name: Enter `echo hello` in the terminal
requirements:
- start
condition:
command: ^echo hello$
response:
content: |
Congratulations on running your first command!
You should see this in the terminal:
```
commander:~ $ echo hello
hello
```
The prompt `commander:~ $` means the computer is waiting for a command.
After you enter `echo hello`, the computer prints "hello" on the next line.
A command is like a sentence telling the computer what to do.
Take `echo hello`, for example:
- `echo` tells the computer to print something
- `hello` is the text to print
So when you enter `echo hello`, the computer prints "hello".
Now try making the terminal display the text `next`.
If you get stuck, click the `Hint` button for help.
hint: |
Enter `echo next` to continue to the next step.

- echo-hello

Congratulations! You now know how to use `echo`.
You might wonder why we need a command like this.
Although `echo` is simple, printing text is a basic building block for many tasks.
In this adventure, we will also use `echo` to trigger events.
That is all for this quest. Enter `echo finish` to complete it.
